Subject: DB0AJA
Since JULY 98 DB0AJA is now running on it´s new qrg: 10368.945 MHz
It has a OCXO and power was upgraded to 1 W at the 10 dB slotted waveguide. I also plan to put up beacons for 5760.945 MHz (almost ready), 3400.945 MHz (maybe end of this year) and 2320.945 MHz. All should have about 10W ERP as applied for in the license application.
QTH is JN59as - 360 masl and 3 magl .
On the old QRG the beacon was heared by PA0WWM and other PA0s.

We are pleased to announce that we have installed, on 27 December 1997, a "THREE BAND BEACON ".
LOCATION: IN88HL, south west of the city of GUINGAMP
ALTITUDE: 325 metres above sea level
BASED ON A G4DDK OSCILLATOR ON 1152 MHz, THIS BEACON HAS THREE OUTPUTS :
ALL ANTENNAS ARE OMNI
CALLSIGN: GB3AMU
FREQUENCY: 24192.940MHz narrowband with cw i.d.
LOCATOR: IO81JN
POWER OUT: 50 milliwatts
ANTENNA: Sectoral horn: gain 11dBi: beamwidth (azimuth) 055 to 215 degrees true
Congratulations to Roy and Phil and their achievement and provision of this useful service.
Reception reports are eagerly awaited and should be sent to either of the two operators named above (or e-mail them to G3PHO, the webmaster of these pages....)
The following two photographs (recently e-mailed by F5ORF to G3PHO) shows how the beacon is set up for trial purposes on the balcony of the F5ORF QTH.
The Eiffel Tower looks to be a fine reflector! The best reception of this beacon so far is 67 kilometres ( by F6DWG). Please send reception reports to F5ORF (pat@lhydre.fdn.fr)
(Thanks to Chris, G8BKE, for this information)
